Fantasy cricket is just a modified version of the game that runs in the veins of people across the world. Fantasy cricket, as the term suggests, refers to a virtual adaptation of the original game. The game requires users to create a virtual team and participate in the game to win various rewards.
How is Fantasy Cricket Played?

How is Fantasy cricket causing a change in the momentum?
Fantasy cricket has been creating a shift in the momentum with its out of the box concept. The primary reason behind the thriving popularity of the concept is the accessibility provided to the fans for being a part of the game rather than being a mere spectator. However, there are many more reasons associated with the constant success and popularity of fantasy cricket among folks which can be summarized as:
A huge Fan base for the actual Game
The original version of the sport is a popular call across the world among people and recognized as a widely celebrated game after soccer. The popularity of the actual game influences the thrill call for fantasy cricket in one way or the other. The spectators, who were only watching the game sitting tight in front of their television sets, now have the liberty to become a part of the sport.
The Control Factor
Another important factor that is helping fantasy cricket achieve a high-praising place among the people is the feeling of holding prime power among people. Often a conflict of one player being the best from 1 side of the competitors whereas one other player from the opponent team is known to create havoc on the field. In such cases, the fantasy cricket league apps offer a control illusion to the users where they can pick the best of the players from both the teams to create their own set of 11 supremos.

World Cup 2019: Four players India will heavily depend upon

1. Virat Kohli

The 30-year-old batsman, who will be leading the Indian team, will have enormous responsibilities on his soldiers. Over the past few years, he has been the most important member of the team and currently, he is regarded as the best batsman in the world. As a result of his hard work and dedication towards the game, he has already surpassed the legends of the game at a very young age.
In one day internationals, he became the fastest batsman to score 10,000 runs in just 205 innings and currently is at the second spot in the list of most centuries in one day. He has been a recipient of many awards such as ‘ICC cricketer of the year’ for two consecutive years, 2017 and 2018 respectively. He will be a part of the Indian World cup squad for the third time. He will have a huge responsibility on his shoulder as he will lead the team for the first time in 50 overs World Cup and Every Indian will be expecting from him to make Indian team win their third World Cup title.

2. Mahendra Singh Dhoni

Every Indian Cricket fan still remembers MS Dhoni’s match winning six in World Cup 2011 final against Sri Lanka. The 37 years old keeper batsman from Ranchi will play a key role in upcoming World cup. This will be his fourth and most probably the last world cup. He is the only captain to win all the ICC trophies i.e. ICC World T20 in 2007, ICC World Cup 2011 and ICC Champions trophy 2013. Although, he will not captain the team this time, but his experience and decision making ability at tough situations will definitely benefit Indian team. In the upcoming World Cup, he will be a big support for Indian skipper, only his presence on the field will give Indian team good advantage and Virat will be also keen to make full use of him, to lift his first World Cup trophy as a captain.

3. Rohit Sharma

The 31-years-old, Indian opener will play a massive role in World Cup 2019. Since he has been promoted to open the innings for India in 2013, his game has improved a lot. Currently, he is the only batsman in the world to score three double centuries in One-day internationals. This will be his second appearance in the World Cup for India. Previously, he has played only one World Cup for India in which he scored 330 runs at an average of 47.39 with the best score of 137 runs. He will be eyeing to increase this average in World Cup 2019 because India’s World Cup triumph will be highly dependent on his performance. Rohit Sharma has been involved in various partnerships with Shikhar Dhawan and skipper Virat Kohli in the past. Now, the fans will be expecting him to be among the top three batsmen in the tournament. Rest the time will tell.

4. Jasprit Bumrah

Over the past two years, Bumrah’s performance graph has gone very high. His ability to make batsmen feel uncomfortable and take wickets in the crucial stage has made him one of the most dangerous bowlers of the game, India has ever produced. Cricketing legends have now started calling his ‘Yorkers’ most effective among fast bowlers playing international cricket now. During the 2017 Sri Lanka tour, Bumrah recorded the most wickets (15) taken by any fast bowler in a bilateral ODI series of five or fewer match. The 26-years-old right hand fast bowler, known for his unorthodox action and ability to execute perfect Yorkers in the death overs, will play a significant role for India in World cup 2019. He is considered one of India’s fastest bowler currently with an average speed of 142 km/hr. India’s bowling unit will be heavily dependent on Bumrah in World Cup 2019. Indian skipper Virat Kohli will be expecting from him to give his best like Zaheer Khan, who was the leading wicket-taker (21) in 2011 World Cup.

Rest will depend on time. If you want more information and cricket update, then stay tuned to MyTeam11.

IPL 2019: Champions vs. Champions

The 15th match of the ongoing IPL will be a thrilling game as both the teams have lifted the trophy three times each. Mumbai Indians won the trophy in the year 2013, 2015 and 2017, whereas the defending champions, Chennai Super Kings, have taken the trophy home in 2010, 2011 and 2018. Both the teams have faced each other thrice in the IPL finale, in which Mumbai Indians defeated Chennai Super Kings twice, whereas Chennai defeated Mumbai only once.
Both the teams have confronted each other 26 times in IPL, out of which Mumbai Indians won 14 matches and Chennai Super Kings won 12 games. Thus, Mumbai Indians have an upper hand over Chennai Super Kings. But now the time has changed; we cannot predict the winner by previous records or their history. Chennai Super Kings are currently the defending champions, and they have won all the three matches they played in this year because of which they are at the top of the points table. Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, didn’t even make it to the playoffs last season and has only won one match out of three games they played this year.
Both the teams have some star players in their squad which will make the contest even more interesting. Chennai Super Kings team has Shane Watson, Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni, who have the capability to turn the match on its heads, whereas Mumbai Indians have Rohit Sharma, Quinton De Kock and, Yuvraj Singh, who have created their records whether it be Rohit Sharma’s three double centuries or 6 sixes by Yuvraj Singh in an over. The rest will depend on time.

Unnoticed “No Ball” costs RCB the game, MI registers a 6-run-victory

The on-going Indian Premier League had its 7th game on Thursday between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The game ended with Mumbai Indians registering a 6-run-victory over Virat’s boys. Bangalore looked all set to achieve their first victory of the season, but it seems there’s a fault in their stars.

A last ball no-ball which went unnoticed by the umpires turned the game upside-down for Royal Challengers Bangalore. The game started with Mumbai Indians posing a high to achieve the target of 188 runs for Bangalore, which the team tried to achieve calmly. Skipper Virat Kohli played a terrific inning before getting knocked down by one of the finest pacers, Jasprit Bumrah.

It was Bangalore needing 72 runs off 28 balls when the team’s another trump card made its way to the field. After Kohli being dismissed, AB de Villiers took to the ground & played a significant inning scoring 70 runs off 41 runs & remaining unbeaten throughout.

However, despite tremendous efforts from Virat & his teammates, Bangalore looked down to a 6-run defeat. Lasith Malinga, the Sri Lankan legend, who joined Mumbai Indians for their 2nd game, after being allowed by SLC to play IPL, made a huge difference. With experience in hands & strategy in mind, Malinga helped Mumbai Indians to clinch a 6-run victory.

It was only after the game had ended that a huge mistake which went unnoticed came to light. After the match, skipper Virat Kohli saw on the big screen, that the last ball bowled by Malinga was a no-ball & if noticed, could have been a game-turner for RCB.

Sharing his anger & disappointment, Kohli, during the after match ceremony said, “We are playing at the IPL level. We are not playing club cricket. That is just a ridiculous call — last ball. The umpires should have their eyes open. It was a no-ball by an inch. It’s completely different game altogether. If it is a game of margins, I don’t know what is happening. They should have been more sharp and careful out there.”

No matter what, the unnoticed no-ball did play a major role for MI’s victory, and has received a serious backlash. However, no nothing can be done. RCB will next play with, let’s see whether the team will manage to seal their first victory in the upcoming match or not. Till then if you want to stay updated with the latest sports stuff, stay tuned to MyTeam11

Pitch Conditions:

The 8th match of the season will be held at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket (Visaka) Stadium, Hyderabad. The pitch is a flat track & works greatly in favor of the spinners. Even in the short format of the game, the spinners enjoy bowling at the ground, tossing a bit more with a great bounce. Rajasthan and Hyderabad have met at this ground a total of two twice where Rajasthan failed to register even a single victory.

Average 1st Innings Score: 155 runs

Average 2nd Innings Score: 147 runs

Team Analysis: Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad will be playing the game at their home ground and are expected to have a better hold at the game, looking at their previous records. Talking about the playing members of the team, then, Kane Williamson, the last year’s Orange Cap holder, will make a comeback. Kane was rested for the previous game following an injury, but now as per the reports, the player will feature in the upcoming game.

Probable Playing XI: Kane Williamson (c), David Warner, Shakib Al Hasan, Vijay Shankar, W Saha, Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan/Deepak Hooda, Sandeep Sharma/K Khaleel Ahmed, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddharth Kaul.

Team Analysis: Rajasthan Royals

THE MANKAD CONTROVERSY & 14 RUN-DEFEAT OF RAJASTHAN ROYALS

The matches in Indian Premier League are incomplete without a little controversy, scuffles and some heated arguments. Well, the 12th edition of the event witnessed its first controversy during the 4th match of the season, between Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals, on 25th March 2019. The visitors, KXIP defeated Rajasthan Royals by 14-runs, but the event that caught entire attention of people was Jos Butler’s controversial dismissal.

The game started with a KXIP posing a terrific target of 184 for four in front of Rajasthan Royals. The #HallaBol defenders tried every possible trick to overcome the posed target & get away with a victory in the game.

Chris Gayle, who played a magnificent inning, scored a total of 79 runs off 47 covering around eight boundaries and four sixes, helping Punjab attain a strong position in the game. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals’ captain, Ajinkya Rahane and Jos Buttler helped the team make a stable start, partnering for 78 runs in just 8 overs. However, soon Rahane was made to head back to the pavilion after being clean bowled by Ravichandran Ashwin.

Butler, who was going strong in the game became a cause of worry for Ashwin, who then did the unthinkable and gave way to the biggest controversy of the IPL era. Ashwin took the aid of Mankading to dismiss Butler, who became the first victim of the act in the history of IPL.

It was during the 13th over of the game with Rajasthan going smooth on 108 runs, when Ashwin manked the player, by deeming him to leave the crease even before throwing the ball. Following this, Butler was announced out as per the cricket laws.

The law states, “The striker is out Bowled if his/her wicket is put down by a ball delivered by the bowler, not being a No ball, even if it first touches the striker’s bat or person.”

Following the incident, Butler had a heated argument with Ashwin for tricking him into the dirty game, before he left to the pavilion. The dismissal was legal as per the laws but has received a severe backlash from cricket fans, who believe it has hurt the invisible sportsmen spirit of the game.

Let’s see what justification will be made for Ashwin’s action, or will the outrage bring a better change in the game to avoid such happenings in the future. Till then, if you want to keep yourself fed with the latest sports updates, stay tuned to MyTeam11.

Remembering the best of CSK VS RCB

“Cauvery Derby” or “South Indian Derby”, Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore have presented the IPL with some of the best encounters, the league has ever seen-

Match 42- IPL 2014
On what seemed a very slow pitch in Ranchi, Dhoni chose to bat first. Due to the slowness of the wicket, runs were hard to score, Chennai made a total of 138 runs in 20 overs.
ABD and Gayle on the crease for RCB turned the tables for the team. De Villiers smashed three sixes and a four from 5 balls. With just 10 runs required off the last over, Dhoni sent David Hussey to bowl. Yuvraj Singh, now on the crease with ABD smashed a six off the first ball. ABD was awarded man of the match for his match-turning sixes. RCB won the match by 5 wickets.
Qualifier 1- IPL 2011
Chennai faced Bangalore in the first qualifier to make it to the finals of IPL 2011. RCB had a slight edge over CSK as Gayle had an outstanding season. But, R. Ashwin stopped Gayle in his tracks early on in the match at just 8 runs. Then, came the skipper Virat Kohli in play and took RCB to a challenging total of 175 with his excellent batting.
Chennai had a terrible start where they lost openers within 7 runs. Suresh Raina and Badrinath handled the innings with a 50 run partnership. With 58 runs to go in 24 balls, Raina and Morkel went on the rampage against the bowlers and brought the score to 12 runs off the last over.
Match 24- IPL 2018
RCB locked horns with Chennai in the 2018 season of IPL in Bangalore, where Chennai won the toss and asked the home team to bat first. The South African pair of Quinton de Kock & AB de Villiers thrashed the bowlers by scoring 103 off 53 balls. RCB’s Mandeep Singh dented CSK’s hopes further with some excellent shots at the end, taking the score to 205. CSK’s Ambati Rayudu exploited the on the field restrictions and scored boundaries one after the other. With Dhoni and Rayudu at the crease, Kohli tried everything in his power to break the partnership, but the duo played safely and scored singles. Just when the score came down to 99 runs off 42 balls, they took matters into their hands and scored as many as 10 sixes in the last overs. Dhoni finished the match, owning and ruling it with his shots and walked out of the field in style.
Match 13- IPL 2012
After tasting defeat in the 2011 finals, Bangalore again faced Chennai in IPL 2012. Mayank Agarwal gave a confident start to RCB as he scored 45 off the 51 runs in five overs. Fiery Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli partnered for 11 overs and contributed 110 runs to the team, setting the target of 205 for CSK. With the run-rate over 13 runs for the last nine overs, Dhoni’s 24 runs off 41 balls kept the team in the game. Morkel gained 28 runs off a Virat Kohli’s over with three sixes and two fours. CSK now needed 15 runs off the last over. Dwayne Bravo further bridged the gap by hitting a six and four. With just 2 required off the last ball, Ravindra Jadeja scored a boundary, and CSK won the match.
Match 16- IPL 2013
If 2012 was a close battle, then the year 2013 is the sequel to the ever going clash between these two titans. RCB opted to bat first with Kohli and De Villiers opening the match. They post a competitive score of 165 for CSK. Chennai lost its crucial openers like Dhoni, Raina, and Badrinath within four overs. It was Jadeja’s batting that saved the day for CSK. He hit two boundaries- a four and a six in the first two balls of the over when CSK needed 16 runs off the last six balls, bringing the target down to 6 runs. Next three balls brought four more runs for the team. Jadeja smashed the last ball that went straight into the hands of a fielder. Just when RCB started to celebrate, the umpire declared a no-ball and Jadeja ran between the wickets to cover the remaining two runs. CSK won the match, yet again.

IPL 2019: KNOW YOUR TEAM FEAT DELHI CAPITALS

Delhi Capitals, formerly known as the Delhi Daredevils, last qualified for the playoffs in 2012. In last season, the team roped Gautam Gambhir as team’s skipper but replaced him after they lost five out of the first six matches. This year, Delhi Capitals eyeing a new start as they went into the auction to make up for their shortcomings by buying mostly all-rounders who can support the core players.

Strengths

Delhi Capitals have one the most destructive top orders that includes significant players like Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer, and Rishabh Pant. With such a solid top-order batting line, Delhi Capitals can easily try out different playing combinations that can support the core group. Apart from this, the team does not lack on the experience front as T20 stars like Colin Ingram, Shikhar Dhawan, and Amit Mishra are there to guide the young players on the field while the support staff that includes Sourav Ganguly and Ricky Pointing can motivate the players off the field.

Fast bowlers like Chris Morris, Kagiso Rabada and Trent Boult leading the bowling front for Delhi Capitals, there is a fairly good chance for the team to make it to finals this year.

Weakness

Spin plays an essential role in Feroz Shah Kotla ground where Delhi Capitals are expected to play half of their matches. With just Amit Mishra and Sandeep Lamichhane, the shortage in the spin department can cause major damage to the team. Delhi Capitals have signed many young players like Avesh Khan, Nathu Singh and Bandaru Ayyapa and an experienced player- Ishant Sharma to take care of the fast bowling unit.

Sharma is an experienced Indian fast bowler, but his T20 bowling is still a question mark. So, all in all, lack of experience in the fast bowling department can hinder their journey.

Playing XI Prediction

Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer (C), Rishabh Pant (WK), Colin Ingram, Axar Patel, Kagiso Rabada, Trent Boult, Amit Mishra, Rahul Tewatia, Sandeep Lamichhane.

IPL 2019: OUR PREDICTIONS FOR PLAYING XI OF ALL THE TEAMS

This IPL season, the selection of the playing XI will be extremely crucial for the franchises as most of the top players will be preferring their practice time for the World Cup 2019 over IPL. Considering this fact, here’s our take on the probable playing XIs of all the 8 teams for their first matches -

Chennai Super Kings

The three-time IPL winner, Chennai Super Kings will be defending its title against all other teams. CSK did not release or buy many players for this 2019 season. Thus, the defending champions predicted playing XI for the first match will be more or less similar to that of last year’s. CSK's comeback man Mohit Sharma is expected to open the innings with Ambati Rayudu and Kedhar Jadhav might handle the affairs of the middle order.
Predicted playing XI - Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni (C & WK), Shane Watson, Kedar Jadhav, Dwayne Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja, Deepak Chahar, Mohit Sharma, Lungi Ngidi, Imran Tahir.

Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians will look to start afresh in IPL 2019 with a victory against Delhi Capitals in its opening match on 24th March, to put behind the setbacks of last season, where the team failed to make it to the playoffs. With Lasith Malinga not available for first few matches as he will be playing for Srilanka against South Africa and Jason Behrendorff for Australia, Mitchell McClenaghan might get into playing XI. Hardik Pandya with his brother Krunal will be crucial for Mumbai Indians. Ben Cutting owing to his splendid form might be a part of the playing XI. Yuvraj Singh might miss out from the playing XI.
Predicted playing XI - Quinton de Kock (WK), Rohit Sharma (C), Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Kieron Pollard, Ben Cutting, Mitchell McClenaghan, Mayank Markande, Jasprit Bumrah,Suryakumar Yadav.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Bangalore are looking to change things around this season after having yet another unsuccessful IPL leg last year.  The RCB’s batting side gave a massive blow to the team in 2018 that made the team management to let go of every batsman in this year’s auction except AB De Villiers and Virat Kohli. They do not have a prominent opening batting line which means Virat Kohli will open the innings. Shivam Dube is also expected to make his debut in the very first match of the season.
Predicted playing XI - Virat Kohli (C), Shivam Dube, Parthiv Patel (WK), Ab de Villiers, Shimron Hetmyer, Colin de Grandhomme, Washington Sundar, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohd Siraj, Tim Southee.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad had a pretty successful season last year, and thus they did not gamble with the team selection much, this season. David Warner is expected to open with England's Johnny Bairstow, IPL 2019 debutant, who has been extraordinary for England across all three formats. Vijay Shankar is speculated to be a regular in playing XI as he displayed impressive game for the national side. Rashid Khan and Shahbaz Nadeem will lead the spin attack with Bhuvneshwar Kumar leading the pace attack along with Siddharth Kaul and Khaleel Ahmed.
Predicted playing XI - David Warner, Johnny Bairstow (WK), Kane Williamson (C), Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shahbaz Nadeem, Siddarth Kaul, Khaleel Ahmed, Deepak Hooda.
Rajasthan Royals
The ever-dependable Ajinkya Rahane will lead the side for Rajasthan Royals this season. The team has a pool of talented Indian players along with class overseas players such as Ben Stokes, Steve Smith, Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, and Oshane Thomas. Special mention, Liam Livingstone, who has been in excellent form in the PSL and the latest Australian star, Ashton Turner.
Predicted playing XI - Ajinkya Rahane (C), Jos Buttler (WK), Steve Smith, Sanju Samson, Ben Stokes, Rahul Tripathi, K Gowtham, Jofra Archer, Shreyas Gopal, Jaydev Unadkat, Varun Aaron

Kolkata Knight Riders

KKR had suffered a significant blow even before the start of the season as young players Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti have been ruled out of the series due to injuries. KKR has a dearth of fast bowlers, and these injuries might further damage its overall chances in the IPL 2019. The team's batsmen will have to make up for a weak bowling department. KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik with Chris Lynn, Robin Uthappa, Kuldeep Yadav, and Sunil Narine will bring their experience into play right from the beginning of the tournament.
